Reply to this post with anything you'd like and I'll tell you why I friended you and two things I love about how you play your muse. The only catch? You have to repost this as well.

My first impulse was to post, "Ooh, do me!" Err, Fruedian slip anyone?

Murphy is a very fatherly type, and he can't resist those childlike personality'd people. Furthermore, Megan has a heart of gold. He wants to see her do well.

I'd say I love the voice you maintain; not quite bubbly but overly optimistic. That's a thin line to walk. Also, I don't know much about Miss Martian so it's great to hear her story.

Aww, thank you very much. It is a fine line to keep from sounding too bubbly-and possibly obnoxious-but M'gann is generally such a vibrant and positive character that I really try my best to balance out the lighter parts with her darker moods.

As for her story, I generally just go by the comics, but since her history is-currently-mostly unknown, I generally go with what I assume fits. Until canon proves me wrong, of course.

I didn't even realize she had darker moods! I suppose you mean the introspective ones? I do know a thing or two about forging your own path with a character you love. This RoboCop I play is in a very gray area canon-wise.

Yes, for the most part. All of her mulling over the future due to meeting and killing her evil self and her worrying in general.

Sometimes you can't really help doing so. Depending upon your source-comics, television, books or movies-every detail isn't covered and it leaves room for experimentation and whatnot.

And understandable. It makes him more interesting. Characters that are stictly black-and-white sometimes lack a certain something.

Also I have some things I want to build on with RoboCop, but we're talking about you here.

Whenever someone says darker mood, I always think about hate and rage before I think sadness and lament. That's just where my mind goes. I'm glad Murphy managed to talk to her on the subject of her future self.

I look forward to reading them, whenever you decide to do so.

Understandable. M'gann isn't one to get angry quickly-sorrow would probably be the emotion at the forefront-but she isn't immune to it either. But since giving into it tends to release her true form, it's something she tries to avoid.

I don't have much of anything in this journal...perhaps I should put some links up, because there are quite a few stories out there you wouldn't know about.

Murphy's fearlessness means he would stay with her, even in that form. All I know of her powers is the Martian Manhunter, so I think she's out of his league...though even if he knew, he'd chance it.

Ah, that would be very nice.

That would be very brave of him, since she sometimes has difficulty controlling herself while in it. As for her powers, it really depends. I'm pretty certain that she would be pretty far out of his league-I have a list of her powers in her profile-but if it ever came down to something physical with him, she would probably hold back a great deal.

Or he could just set her on fire.

Man, that would come in handy. Now where did I put that gun-arm-attachment-of-doom?

I'll get to work hunting down those threads. o_O didn't realize I had fans!

Snake demands a response if he has to engage in this nonsense.

Eh heh heh...alright.

The only thing more dangerous than a roaming lion, is a pair of roaming lions. Or maybe, a lion and a tiger. Murphy has a sort of brotherly connection to Snake. He knows the man has been through a lot, and if the scope is broad enough they're both on the same side.

Continuing the analogy, it's just that one of them stalks through the grass, and lunges at the last moment...the other feels that if it can't simply run you down, it'll get you next time. Not to say they both don't play the other's game sometimes, but Murphy is a lot more receptive to Snake because he's the same species, with a different style, or something close.

Friended you because you're fraggin Snake Plissken. Friended you because the passion you have for the character is quite obvious from looking at the journal, and it may even exceed my passion for mine.

I like the way you write, your prose moves along quickly without sacrificing detail. It gives a great glimpse of how Mr. Plissken thinks, what he wants, and what he's really willing to sacrifice to get it. I think most people would play him really, really dark...never smiling. Exaggerating that aspect of the character. You're not afraid to show that he's human.

HAHAHA So who is the lion and who is the tiger? My bet would be on Snake being the lion.

Snake does get glimpses of that brotherly camaraderie but his paranoia and distrust cause issues.

Damned right I am I do adore the character.

Honestly I think that is the difference between those who have just seen the movies and those who have hunted down the comics and especially the novel. After reading the novel you realize just how human Snake is and how much he fears losing what littel humanity he has left.

You'd think that, wouldn't you? Snake alternates between Lion and Tiger. I say this because he's very courageous but won't take the front door if he has anything resembling a bad feeling about it. His primary mode of operation involves the shadows. Murphy on the other hand is very indifferent to the odds. Only when he knows he can't just lock horns with the problem does he take an alternate route.

To tell you the truth I don't remember much about Escape from New York. You do an excellent job of making me feel like I don't need to go through all Snake's materials to know him.

I was think much more on an over all sense. Snake is a family guardian or guards his companions. Murphy on the other hand seems more the lone rogue, as odd as that sounds. Snake always had partners in crime. Also in the novel Snake repeatedly compares himself to a lion.

Still I can see your analogy too. Perhaps he is a Liger ( or a Tigon?

That is an amazing compliment! **hugs**

I see what you're getting at. Snake is a lion with a pride. It's a commonly believed thing that all male lions possess them, but the thing is only some do. A lesser amount. The rest of them are loners, or hunt in teams with their brothers. One thing about a lion is that any lion you see with a pride, has killed at least one other lion to get there. And they're not shy about fighting either...They primarily fight to the death, and a lion with a pride will, normally, gladly go out to fight 3 invading lions by himself. Another thing is, if you chain a lion and a tiger down near each other, mostly the tiger will be the one trying to escape. Even though the tiger is larger, the lion is rarely afraid.

The only part of Snake I see as a tiger is his hunting style. Tigers are the ninjas of the animal world.

Murphy is a loner at this point, but he had his pride, his family. He doesn't any more, and I don't think he's ever told Snake about it.

Please stop rubbing your boobs on me. alright fine *hugs back*

Snake has went through his bachelor lion phase. He's not the young lion anymore but the settled one that's just a bit more grumpy. LOL That is true. Snake has absolutely no fear of anything. He will stare anyone down.

Snake does do the whole ninja sneaking. Lions hunt stealthfully in the grass though too.

No Snake doesn't know about his family yet.

Awww you don't like boobs.. how sad. HEHEHEH

Oh, Lions definitely have some creep to them. It varies a lot depending on the particular lion. They are very fast, and very strong, and some of them kinda abuse it. For instance a pack of female lions might try to run a water buffalo to exhaustion before they attack, whereas a larger male lion will just tackle it. *looks in robocop's direction*

He didn't actually HUNT THIS THING DOWN, and then ASK IT TO STEP OUTSIDE, did he?
